In Massachusetts. Caboose looks like ex-D&H, don't know about passenger car.

The buggy is indeed modified D&H; the passenger car may be the Pullman parlor-lounge "Enterprise", at one time on the Black River & Western. It apparently went to Cape Cod & Hyannis in the early 1980s, and was sold when the original CC&H operator (Mark Snyder?) lost the operating rights. There were also two NH GP9s that were sold off, both to Georgia shortlines, as I recall.

Enterprise was in PRR service into the early 60s before going to BR&W. Defender was a sister car, at Wilmington & Western, I think. There may be another car or two from this series around. The short windows on the kitchen end are a give-away.

I have long been interested in this car and its sister Defender. Does anybody here know the car's configuration and how it was powered when it was used on the Cape Cod & Hyannis - where it was named Nobska. Does anybody know what its current configuration is? I have heard that a drive through window was cut into one side.

The Cape Cod Railroad used this car until 1994 and I find it suprising that it did not pass to an operating or preservation entity.

Here are some pictures of both the Ex-D&H Caboose & the Pullman Car Enterprise (NOBSKA) in Massachusetts. Interestingly enough I was in Rhode Island at the time (Dec? 1999) visiting Roger Williams University talking with them about expanding there Historic Preservation Program. One day I was out exploring and stumbled upon these two pieces of equipment being transformed into a soon to become Fruit & Bagel shop as advertised in the pictures "Coming Soon!"

Tom you did hear correct a large hole was cut into the side of the car but I was told by the guys in the pictures who were doing the conversion that it was for a walk-in cooler/freezer that could not be placed in the car for it's conversion to an eatery. Please look over the Pictures below that I snapped off if memory serves me right in Dec? 1999.
