Post subject:  Chapman, Alabama 4-4-0 trivia

As a side note to this Flimsies piece about the 1880s 4-4-0 at Chapman, Alabama (built for a Central of Georgia predecessor), I noted in a book I saw at Barnes and Noble, that Hank Williams' father ran a locomotive for W.T. Smith Lumber Co.. There was a photo of a teenage Hank standing beside it with his family and it appeared to have already been put on display at that time, so I don't know if the senior Williams actually ran it or not, but he probably did operate the existing 2-6-0.
