Long before today's festival marketplace. That huge shed could have sheltered lots of equipment.

And now there's loony talk by Union Station management of pulling up the remaining tracks. Guys, it's a RR station, remember?

I'm pretty sure that this doubled as "Grand Central Station" for John Carpenter's movie, "Escape from New York."
Even as a kid, I thought it was funny to have the former NYC station way in the future, with a couple of non-Amtrak passengers coaches sitting on it's tracks, one of the a GM&O one!
