SP narrow gauge 4-6-0 22 on the still-extant turntable at Laws, California. No. 22 was an ex-Florence & Cripple Creek engine (sister to RGS 20 as-built), sold to the Nevada-California-Oregon in 1915. It came to the remaing SP narrow gauge operation in the Owens Valley in 1929. The engine ended its days as a stationary boiler at the (still partly extant last I knew) Bayshore Shops near San Francisco. The locomotive was scrapped in 1946 or so. The water tank in the background collapsed a couple of years ago and was rebuilt in an inaccurate manner, much to the chagrin of the site's caretaker, who wanted to do it right.
