Interesting view of a PRR work train in this dockside area of Philadelphia, now operated by CP Rail and much changed.

This picture was taken near Market St., which is farther north of the trackage that is still owned by the Phila. Belt Line and served by CP and CSX.

The Buckingham Valley group's trolleys used to operate on this stretch of track, which was rebuilt as a single track in the median of Delaware Ave. I believe these trolleys went to Scranton as part of the trolley museum.

bob,

Thanks for the picture.

i lived in Philadelphia in the late 1970s, when the Trollies were running.

And most interestingly the railroad freight cars were moved along Delaware Avenue by track mobiles.

Rather a strange feeling to be sitting a t a traffic light and have a cut of freight cars pull up next to you!

They opened the last stretch of I-95 through center city the day I moved out of the area.
