I think these were stored (in 2005) at the Minnesota Commercial (former Minnesota Transfer) RR in St. Paul. One of the RS3s is apparently former Lake Superior & Ishpeming. The GP7 is ex-Bangor & Aroostook and has some rare old style Hyatt journal boxes, useful in accurate restoration of older Fs, BL2s, etc.. http://abpr.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi?a ... l_MN_a.jpg http://abpr.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi?a ... l_MN_b.jpg http://abpr.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi?a ... l_MN_c.jpg |

These are the units which went to NRE in Silvis, correct? Interesting solution to the broken leaf spring problem.... |

...or were the springs "borrowed" from the Geep to keep another unit in service? |
