 Post subject: Stored RS3s and GP7 in Minnesota

I think these were stored (in 2005) at the Minnesota Commercial (former Minnesota Transfer) RR in St. Paul. One of the RS3s is apparently former Lake Superior & Ishpeming. The GP7 is ex-Bangor & Aroostook and has some rare old style Hyatt journal boxes, useful in accurate restoration of older Fs, BL2s, etc..

These are the units which went to NRE in Silvis, correct? Interesting solution to the broken leaf spring problem....

...or were the springs "borrowed" from the Geep to keep another unit in service?
