Post subject:  More Steamtown Equipment Moved from Tobyhanna

Yesterday, November 7, a second section (the first taking place in early summer 2001) of Steamtown Equipment was ferried from the Tobyhanna Army Depot to the Steamtown yard in Scranton. The consist included former CP Steam locomotive #2929 and 7 other pieces of equipment. The only real problem during the move being a troublesome bearing on a former LIRR "ping pong" car. For a complete listing of equipment moved, check out...

Post subject:  Where is #2929 headed

Any good rumors on where #2929 is headed. I heard it is either going to Cranbrook for static display, or that she might be restored and re-gauged to pinch-hit on the East Broad Top next summer.

Hey Rob

It would look good on the Rockhill turntable now wouldn't it! No, I've heard the Cranbrook rumor too, seems the more likely of the two. Any schedule for movement is still a secret. It sits now in the Scranton yard. I took a few snapshots today, hopefully I'll have 'em out soon.

I can assure everyone that the CP 2929 is not coming south.

Might not look bad with a green boiler jacket and tender though...
