The following has appeared on a couple of lists I subscribe to. Considering the rarity of Alco's in the Nortwest, I thought folks might want to know.

The following is from Ken Ardinger. The locomotive concerned is ex Walla Walla Valley 770
"Eyer says the locomotive is operable, however has a strong vibration when prime mover is under load. It still has friction bearings, wheels need truing, but electricals were redone in 1991 and air was recently
recertified."

If possible, it would be good to keep this one away from the scrappers.
