In Seattle, made from old railcars. Is this a genuine 1930s place, or a 1980s "Victoria Station" type of setup? What cars are there? http://seattleweekly.com/2007-02-28/foo ... -patty.php |

One of the cars is a 1916 Pullman charter car "Newport". Interestingly there were three cars built in this lot and all survive. "Palm Beach" is at the Tennessee Central museum in Nashville in original but poor condition. Legend has it that the car was once owned by Mary Pickford. "Manhattan" was sold to ACL, eventually became CSXT 309 and was sold to Gulf & Ohio Railways. It is now named "Tennessee" and is on live track at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Pete |
