Poor photos, but can anyone tell me if this enginehouse was recently razed in Hammondsport, NY? I've heard it was being replaced by lakeside condos.

Bob,

We visited Hammondsport yesterday. It appears that the enginehouse still stands. It was impossible to get very close, and the area is heavily overgrown and fenced-off. But there is a red peak-roofed building still standing.

There are semi-new concrete foundations near this red building, on the water front. Perhaps these are the beginnings of the new condos. (But, it appears that work has not been done on these foundations for a while.) In any case, they now block the right-of-way between the depot, and the enginehouse (if that's what it is).

There's a large gate, with large NO TRESPASSING signs that block the access to the building, so we got no closer than a couple of hundred feet.
