Currently, the State of Illinois has launched a tourism promotion to let popular vote determine the Seven Wonders of Illinois. IRM was nominated in the northern region. Every week the low vote getters will be deleted until the winners are determined. See the link - http://www.enjoyillinois.com/sevenwonders/northern.html You may cast an additional vote EVERY DAY, and increased awareness and attendance is a battle we all strive to gain. The actual process should take only a few seconds of your time and costs nothing. Please help us out here. Bob Kutella |

THANKS for all those helping. It takes only a few seconds to vote, costs nothing, no registration required. As noted on the tourism site, this is only WEEK ONE. Next week I assume some of the non contenders will be dropped and the counters reset. So please re visit in coming days and please continue to vote. Yes, they allow another vote every day, and I suspect they never thought of counting the votes any other way!! Bob Kutella |

I got the "page not found" but there was an additional link noted there which got me in. Keep digging! With reference to the "double Voter", if we were in a Florida link, would we have to vote by "chad"???? Hmmm........... Cheers! R.O. |

I tried to go today to vote for the first time today (voted yesterday), and got the message: Quote: You have already submitted your vote for this region today. Please come back tomorrow to submit another vote for your favorite attraction!
I have been disenfranchised! It is all part of a comspiracy to drop the IRM! No, it's discrimination against steam freaks! :D -James Hefner Hebrews 10:20a Surviving World Steam Project |

The site saves a 'cookie' which remembers that you've visted. Two ways to get around it to vote again: Delete the cookies (if you don't mind other web sites you use also forgetting you've visted them). In Internet Explorer, the menu options are: Tools -> Internet Options... -> Delete Cookies Switch to a different browser. My system has IE, Firefox, Opera and Netscape installed. I can enter each one and vote again. This avoids the deleting cookies approach. |

The cookie expires 24 hours after you cast a vote. So while they advertise you can vote every day, each next day vote has to come at slightly more than 24 hours, perhaps eventually finding a day you miss your vote, depending on your schedule. But we greatly appreciate the help. YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE Bob Kutella |
