I read somewhere on the internet that R&N #425 was scheduled to be back in service in Oct 2007. I checked R&N's website and it says that there are no plans for either 425 or 2102. Anybody heard anything about this?

The eternal railway preservation conundrum. Who to believe?
I did see an announcement online that said #425 would run this year, but whether the resource was reliable or not, remains in question. Websites are notably frustrating because the maintenance is often relegated to an overtaxed individual, and the computer work gets pushed to the rear of the "should do" list, well behind preservation itself.
For the record, I did see the same, or a similar posting.
