PRR and ??? Passenger Cars in Boston

Hi,

There's a thread on NERAIL about some passenger cars on the Boston waterfront that lasted into the late 1980's. Anyone know the details and if they went the way of the torch?

The green and yellow paint on the CNJ coach marks it as a Steamtown (Vermont) car; the PRR B-60 may have been Steamtown owned, also.

I seem to recall there were perhaps two CNJ coaches that had gone to Boston for some reason, perhaps another restaurant scheme. Restaurants sure seem to be effective killers of railroad cars, steamships, and station buildings.

Someone with some 1960s-70s Steamtown Foundation "inside knowledge" would be able to shed more light on these, I think.

Definitely a restaurant scheme which never came to fruition. I believe this very question was asked (possibly by me!) several years ago, as I used to work on Northern Avenue right next to these cars. And if I recall correctly the definitive answer was offered by Mr. Frederick Bailey...
