Looks like one of the 4-4-2 Imperials that was converted for wreck train service.

According to Don Strack's execellent passenger roster, this car was Pullman Imperial Palm to UP 906211, October 1972.

Same renumbering information to me in a private letter over F. D. Acord (UP CMO) signature dated April 7, 1972. There were seven (7) IMEPRIAL cars converted to MP&M derrick bunk cars.

Other information available to me says that IMPERIAL PALM was vacated from the passenger roster as of 9-70.
