Well it has been about a year since my last update on our small little railroad meseum.

We have some good news and some bad news, but the bad news has some good news to it.

The Good News!

The last time I posted on here we were thinking of purchasing a passanger car, for now we have put that off to the side. As we do not currently have the proper funds to puchase, transport, and weather seal the car. We are not throwing out the idea, we are not ready to handel it at this time

Last June we took possesion of a Milwaukee Road 50' PS1 boxcar. We got this car from CP Rail. For pictures of the Car being positioned look at

We are also in the finishing steps in Purchasing a 40' PS1 boxcar from CP Rail also. This Boxcar is also of Milwaukee Road Hartiage.

The not so Bad News!

Our Railorad Meseum is Located in a Village Park, a park that is rented from Canadian Pacific Railway. The Rent for this small chunk of land was one dollar for years, last year the rent of this land went over eight hundred dollars for this land. The Village has told us either pay for this rent yourselves, or we will let you move the Museum over by the new Amtrak Depot. So Far Transportation of the equipment has been figured out with a company donating the time of ther 100 ton crane another company donating the use of flat bed semi's. A positive is that we will have a little bit more room to grow and breath, we will never have to worry about moving again, we will be located on a higher traffic flow area, alot more visiable. What we we have to do? Well for starters, after the Village levels off the ground we need to prepare to lay some track, about 400' of track that is, we will need to get some rail and ties. Orginize a proper signal Display. Restore the Interior of the Caboose, and remodel the interior of one of the boxcars to move all Meseum displays inside of that instead of the caboose. If some one lives near Sturtevant and wants to help please contact me.
