Post subject:  UPDATE - Support Railway Preservation in Illinois

We are now in WEEK 3 of the voting to determine the 7 Wonders of Illinois. IRM has made the cut with good showings the first two weeks of balloting and are in the FINAL FOUR for the Northern Region.

THANKS to the many here who have been helping.

But this week and next the road to success gets tougher.

We have made it easier, and fewer mouse clicks to enter your vote. Go to www.irm.org and the top band of the home page includes the spot CLICK HERE to VOTE. That is all there is to it - and you can vote every day. Please do.

Do not be concerned if you do not live in Illinois or even the USA. The state would be delighted to see votes from anywhere - indicating the message is getting out.

How would you like an all expenses trip for two to visit IRM - after you help us win? After voting, click ENTER TO WIN on the results page. Someone will win - it might as well be one of us.

This costs literally but a few seconds to vote every day. No LOGIN, no registration, so please help out.

And while it increases awareness of IRM as a statewide tourist attraction, it also give credibility to railway preservation nationwide. If we win this distinction, there will be other sites possibly ranging from Great America to Wrigley Field that may not be so designated. Without getting into the merits of MSI vs the Botanic Gardens, this does recognize the significance of historic preservation.
