Could be true...I think 844 is heading up there anyways...and with the new leader of the UP being diffrent from the last ("saving" D&RGW 5371)...perhaps this might be the start of "somethin wonderful" with "foreign" steam on the UP

Not totally confirmed yet, but certainly not an April Fool's joke either. At the moment it appears that this is actually for real, and may indeed happen. 844 is definite, (or as definite as these things get) and 4449 is probable.

As for foreign steam on the UP, the rumor is that the trip will be an all BNSF routing...
