I truly enjoyed reading all the posts for this April Fools’ joke. At first, I thought it wasn’t going to go anywhere because I was outed so quickly. But then things got interesting, and some really great ideas were floated. And I want to acknowledge the person who correctly noted that a tap changer does not change frequency; it is basically a smart switch with many contacts.

I think the best idea was for the flux capacitor, but if we did that, we might end up with a new AMTRAK controversy with the GG1 outpacing the Acela!
