Bob, The 2900's were the Northwestern's largest 4-6-2s but I believe the three Omaha Road (C.St.P.M.&O.) Pacifics numbered 600-602 were the largest and heaviest ever built. The 600s weighed in at 341,200 pounds and developed 64,600 lbs of tractive effort. For Pacifics, they were built quite late in November 1930. Don C. |
