Post subject: | 4449 in Albany... |
This has probably been posted elsewhere, but a couple days back the 4449 steamed into Albany to get some work done at the Portland & Western shops. Apparently the P&W facilities are the only ones in the region with a drop pit large enough to handle her drivers. The article mentioned that she was getting some bearing work done in preperation for the 844 coming out west. So it does indeed sound like events are planned that will have both of the northerns operating together, which should be something to see. The Daylight should be headed back to Portland next week.
