The Santa Clara Valley group installed its ex-Canadian National 96 foot turntable from Capreol, Ontario, in a new pit at Fillmore, CA on Feb 7, 2007. You can see all the details at http://www.scrvrhs.com/. Once finished this will be the 34th turntable which was moved and reinstalled by a museum or tourist line out of 90 which have been moved for preservation. This one was moved about 2700 miles, which should be the record for such things. |
