Pere Marquette 1225 wasn't the only steam locomotive operating in April. We were lucky enough that the staff of the Huckleberry Railroad had their annual work (including a new ashpan for D&RGW 464) done in time for our visit. Alaska 152, complete with butterfly pilot: D&RGW 464 (masquerading as 453 for the early part of the day): And our hosts:
152: Marty Knox, Engineer Mike Booker, Fireman Matt Folland, Student Fireman Bill Cesario, Conductor 453/464: Chester (Ray) Cash, Engineer Mike Horton, Engineer Dennis Braid, Student Engineer Gary Mahnke, Conductor On the Ground: Ricky Sims And special thanks to Huckleberry RR CMO Paul Dalleska for putting together a great show.
