Hi, Last year there was some talk on this board about a tank engine in Dunkirk, NY that had been restored. What is happening with the engine now? Will it run this year? If so, where? hope to see it/ ride behind it this year! Matt |

Matt Here's the steamlocomotive.info page for the locomotive: http://www.steamlocomotive.info/vlocomo ... splay=1730 And here follows the next of a note about this locomotive left by John Gramling in October of last year: Quote: Oct 16, 2006
This engine is in Dunkirk NY. It is owned by Scott Symans. It is nearly restored to operating condition. It has been run and works great. Just waiting for the FRA to OK the hydro and fire up Hope this all helps. |

The engine is to get it's final inspection by the end of this month. Scott is in the process of lining up some places to run #6 much the same as we are running Flagg Coal # 75. John |

Thanks for the info. I really hope he runs it around New York, we are starved for steam - although the Arcade & Attica should be steam at some point this year. Does he have any plans for a permenant place to run it or will he just tour with it? And, when are you guys going to get together for a tank fest????? Matt |
