Word has it that the 'ole girl did great on yesterday's trip. She sure looked and sounded great pulling by my tower at 7 am yesterday! From a dispatcher's standpoint, the trip was flawless, and arrived back early, even with two station stop layovers.

The train of all green, open window steam era coaches in of itself is getting hard to replicate elsewhere, let alone the heavy pacific roaring down the mainline. Not bad for 50 bucks! Worth the hotel reservation I'd say!

From what I've heard, it wasn't just the dispatcher that thought it was flawless. Not a complaint was heard, and in this day and age, with any railroad trip, that is rare. Chasers and riders alike had a great time.Photos are also on Railfan.net.
Let's plan on the rest of the season going so smoothly. Trains run to Tobyhanna and Moscow, PA this up-coming weekend.
