Hey guys, -Shameless plug here- Don't know if any of you caught it, but last night on HBO's Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee premier, was a great shot of our engine 2024 (exUSA4076) barking up the 2% grade we have at Heritage Park in Calgary. HBO was at the park filming last October. Myself and my Engineer got to take part in the fun, getting an opportunity to meet Aiden Quinn, Adam Beach, and Anna Paquin. We had a lot of fun and after seeing the clip I have to say the engine looked pretty good. My only complaint is that the movie company made a fake looking diamond stack and a fake headlight cover. This was to make our locomotive look older than its 1944 build date. Unfortunately they made the stack flat black but never took the time to paint the front of our locomotive ( budget constraints ) - ultimately making the whole retro fit stand out. Anyway, the clip is at about the 30 minute mark. I was firing the heck out of her and for a very clean firing oil burner, I think I did a good job making lots of picturesk smoke:):) All the best, Kris |
