| Post subject: | Restoration work at the Connecticut Trolley Museum June 2nd |
Hi everyone: Our next work session in the shop will be Saturday, June 2, 2007, from 9am till 5 pm. Our last session was really productive. More work was completed on car 355. The interior lights have all been replaced and now glow to light up the car. The brake stands were serviced and the air compressor was checked over and lubed. We now get 80 psi of air to stop this beautiful car. All four motors now are hooked up and move the car with ease. Galen spent the day starting to clean up the access to the northern barn. This is the first step in getting the tracks in this barn rebuilt. Our next session should be a busy one. Galen is planning on pulling up the tracks in the northern barn and starting the filling process if possible. We have a full session planned on car 355. We need to finish up the odds and ends on the trucks. This includes adjusting the side bearers and installing the gear case covers. With good luck we should be out some time in the afternoon testing the car and making runs down the line. We have a 9am get together to have a talk of where we are and discuss future projects and needs. We look forward to seeing you next Saturday June 2, 2007.
