I am going to be going through Jacksonville Florida on Saturday and would like to stop off and see this engine. Does anyone have any advice or an address to use to find it? Thanks, Eric |

So far as I know, the locomotive in question is at the Prime F. Osborn Convention Center. This is what it looks like fairly recently:
You can find directions to the Convention Center at the link below: http://www.jaxevents.com/x_directions.html#toPrime |

Yes, 1504 is in the parking lot of the Osborn Convention Center. She's looking a bit tired, since the last restoration work was done well over 10 years ago and she sits out in the weather all the time. It would be nice if someone in the Jax area would push to get the locomotive cleaned up, patched up and under a cover large enough to protect her from all but blowing storms. I spent over an hour taking detail photos of her back in late February, and someone needs to give her some TLC before they have to do a complete restoration again. |
