Post subject:  Need photo of a Car Stop sign
I need a close up photo of a traditional round "car stop" sign. I recall that in some cities these are white background with black lettering.

You might want to contact BSM's curator, Mark Dawson, at his e-mail address (504 at comcast dot net).

Possibly Ed Lybarger at PTM has some of the signs as well.

Hi Wes:

Twin City Rapid Transit used rectangular "car stop" signs mounted on line poles about 15 feet off the ground. I never measured one but it is roughlt 5 inches by 18 inches. The 'car stop" is printed vertically on the sign--black letters on white.
