No smoke or steam evident, so what was propelling it? The F40PH that was supposedly never used to produce any tractive effort during the excursions? MX (Obviously Not My Real Name) |

Looks like the same group of pictures as on the Golden Pacific Railroad website (still there, offering excursions and sumptuous feasts, by the way) except the markings on the F40PH have been doctored! MX (Obviously Not My Real Name) |

Last I heard / know of, she was, as of last night, sitting on the BNSF RIP track in Tacoma. There is a BNSF waybill filed to move her to Richland WA. Mike |

Tipped off by a relative in the area: Quote: Smoke fills the air Tuesday as oil-burning steam locomotive 2100 backs down the tracks parallel to Canal Drive in Kennewick on its way to Tri-City & Olympia Railroad Co. in Richland. The locomotive arrived from Tacoma after crossing the Cascade Mountains on Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railway lines. Tri-City & Olympia Railroad Co. officials said the 2100 will be in the Tri-Cities for an extended period of time and will see service on freight runs and during special events.

When I checked this morning the Golden Pacific Railroad website was still offering steam excursions and sumptuous barbecues in Tacoma. Kind of like the SS Nobska website, still sailing along..... MX (Obviously Not My Real Name) |
