As many of you know we operate a small railroad Museum in the Village of Sturtevant. This is our last operating year in our current location, Next year is our big move. Today our newest piece of equipment in on the move from Canada to Sturtevant. We are purchasing SOO 920041 from Canadian Pacific Railway, a Forty Foot PS1 ex Milwaukee Road Boxcar. For now this car will be used as storage while we start to rehab our 50 foot Boxcar. Plans for the 50 footer will include framing out a new floor over there steel floor, framing out walls and creating a Depot Office. The Office will contain all of the office furniture that we have saved from the old depot.

Paper work all taken care of on SOO 920041, car is slowley making its way to Sturtevant, Wisconsin on the Candian Pacific

Arrived St Paul this AM on 292-11 around 1100hrs. Yet to be humped into outbound train. Getting closer..

I am pleased to announce that our club's freight car has finally arrived in Sturtevant, Wisconsin on June 30th 2007.

We purchased a 40' Pullman Standard Boxcar that was built in March of 1961 of the Milwaukee Road as car number MILW-30041. During the cars history it was renumbered to MILW-420041, and finally to SOO-920041 when the Soo Line purchased the Milwaukee Road and transferred it to their maintenance fleet.

We purchased this car last month from Canadian Pacific Railway and it took some time to get to Sturtevant

Car is now spoted at museum, Soo Reports remved per CP Rail contract, Temp car number of WUJRRC-30041 put on car, when repainted it will be numbered MILW-30041.
