Officials Label Fire at Old Pan Am Station Arson

Police say the blaze at 11 Center Street was intentionally set and a 16-year-old has been arrested and charged with the crime. Police say he put a soda bottle filled with gasoline under a set of stairs then lit a cigarette. Crews were called to the old Pan Am Railroad Station just before eleven Saturday night and found it engulfed in flames. No one was inside at the time, but we’re told a firefighter suffered minor injuries. The building has been demolished and the 16-year-old is behind bars without bail.
