Post subject:  New Issue of First and Fastest

I've just spent the better part of the afternoon reading the most recent issue of First & Fastest published by the Shore Line Interurban Historical Society. I am impressed once again.

F&F has to be one of the best railroad-history oriented publications. This year also marks the 25th Anniversary of the society. The group has evolved from focusing solely on Chicago-based inteurbans to covering urban, suburban, and interurban railroading in the region. Besides covering history the "Wire Report" in the back of every issue updates readers with current happenings with CTA, Metra, PACE, RTA, and NICTD.

Besides publishing F&F, Shore Line also put out a great color calendar this year with a C&AE theme, and the first issue of their "Dispatch Series" which I reviewed for RYPN.

Over the past couple of years I have been exposed to several good periodical publications, the forementioned F&F, the annuals put out by the Terminal Railroad Association Historical Society, and the Illinois Traction Society's Flyer. It is encouraging to see such high-quality publications.

What are some good periodical publications that may have a regional focus that you think are worth noting?
