6200 now resides on the front lawn of the Canada Science and Technology Museum in Ottawa, minus several parts. However, I understand most of them were taken off and put in storage for safe keeping.

CNR 6200 does remain in Ottawa. I was told that certain parts went towards maintaining other locomotives, but those major pieces you see missing are in storage in the museums railroad warehouse and shop. The locomotive is sealed and one might even say "vandal proof". If the Canadians ever desire to restore her, she's in a good location for rescue. Once again, allow me to say if you love Canadian steam, don't end your tour at Exporail in Montreal. Continue the few hours to get over to Ottawa (beautiful city, btw), and visit the Museum of Science and Technology. Call in advance and get a tour of the warehouse as well. The collection is superb, and almost entirely kept indoors.
