I'm pretty sure that the yellow-tiger-striped CNJ unit in the left side of that shot is the only remaining (by that time) double-ended BLW "baby face" diesel, which was used in the C'paw roundhouse for emergency steam. The photo of 1286 dates to spring 1967, before the High Iron trip to Bridgeton via Red Bank.
