It is my understanding due to minimum order considerations, etc. that WABCO and NYAB, etc won't overhaul or exchange the obsolete brake valves such as AB and older valves. I know that Pittsburgh does, but I need to come up with multiple vendors for the City to choose from. Who else is certified out there that does the older valves? I seem to remember being shown Strasburg's brake shop, but they don't mention brake rebuilding on their website. Do they? Who else is still out there? Greg |

Greetings: You might try Touchton Industries, in Jacksonville FL, 904 389 5450. Mike Gannon is the president. They do work on older valves for the City of San Francisco. Cheers- Karl Johnson |

I've used Multi-Service Supply out of Leetsdale, PA for the last several years. They've reconditioned #6, 24 and 26 locomotive valves for us, and D-22 valves on our passenger cars. They're not perfect but I've had relatively few problems with them.
