It is my understanding due to minimum order considerations, etc. that WABCO and NYAB, etc won't overhaul or exchange the obsolete brake valves such as AB and older valves.

I know that Pittsburgh does, but I need to come up with multiple vendors for the City to choose from. Who else is certified out there that does the older valves?

I seem to remember being shown Strasburg's brake shop, but they don't mention brake rebuilding on their website. Do they? Who else is still out there?

Greetings:

You might try Touchton Industries, in Jacksonville FL, 904 389 5450. Mike Gannon is the president.

They do work on older valves for the City of San Francisco.

I've used Multi-Service Supply out of Leetsdale, PA for the last several years. They've reconditioned #6, 24 and 26 locomotive valves for us, and D-22 valves on our passenger cars. They're not perfect but I've had relatively few problems with them.
