There have been several efforts over the years to cosmetically restore #86 here in my home town. The last effort was about 10 years ago by the London and Middlesex Historical Society and General Motors Diesel, but it only was half finished when efforts stopped. A friend of mine donated full sized Canadian National square logo decals for the tender he had, but they disappeared and never got on the engine. It was also during this restoration the number plate disappeared. Disappointing. |

A couple of neat things about this E-10-a is that it retained its big headlight more common in the 30s and 40s and never received the power reverser. Looks a bit rougher than when I saw it a few years ago but still not too bad for a park engine. Jason |
