Post subject:  Psgr. Cut Lever Wanted

We are applying modern couplers in place of the Sharons on a heavyweight passenger car, and would like to buy a set of passenger cut levers for it. We especially want the cast locking brackets that hold the keyed cut levers, for the left-hand corner as you face the end of the car.

Ideally we would buy the entire left-hand cut levers and brackets from a 1950's Pullman-Standard lightweight. If you have cut up such a car and have these parts for sale, please e-mail me, or call Dennis Braid at the Steam Railroading Institute, at (517) 725-9464, or write M.S.T.R.P., Inc., P. O. Box 665, Owosso, MI 48867-0665.

Thanks. We'll gladly trade one Sharon drawhead and yoke, only slightly bent. We would have two, but on this car we learned that you can pull a 7,000-ton train with Sharons, but not without some breakage.
