Post subject:  Restoration Work at the Connecticut Trolley Museum

Hi everyone:

Our next work session will be on Saturday August 4th from 9 AM to 5 PM.

During our last session we were able to repair the air compressor on car 836. We removed the armature from the compressor and then fixed the damaged banding that was peeling off. Once we re-installed the armature, the compressor ran fine and the car was returned to service.

We continued to make adjustments to 355 and hope to turn her over to the operating department soon.

Work resumed on striping paint from car 169. We hope a few more work sessions will get the outsides stripped of paint. Then we can make a few repairs and start to paint the car.

During our next session we will continue adjusting 355. We will strip more paint from 169 and make tracings of exposed lettering. Finally we will do a few adjustments on the doors for car 16.

Hope to see you this Saturday. as always all volunteers welcome!
