I just liked this old UK photo of an LNER A1 being groomed, long ago:

All of the original A1s, to my knowledge, were rebuilt into A3s, of which 4472 is the sole survivor. A newer group of A1s were built after the war. The replica currently under construction will duplicate this latter class.

Where is the duplicate being built? Just the "saddle" itself must weigh as much as a Prairie class 2-6-2!
