 Post subject: Is The D&RGW #315 Steaming?

According to their the #315 is expected to move to the D&S Narrow Gauge Railroad for tests and operation on their line.

Has anybody heard of the status of the locomotive?

Those guys took a locomotive apart to the point that every moving part was worked over; so she should be good for some time to come.

It was fired up, and they ran it around a little. Minor problems set in that do not appear to be boiler related and they put it away again to be worked on after Labor Day.
All in all, my opinion, from what I've read, is that things went pretty well.

Yes she steamed out of the Durango Roundhouse. Apparently she had some injector problems and was allowed to cool off. No other reports of problems.
