Conway Scenic Railroad in North Conway New Hampshire will fire up ex-CN 0-6-0 #7470 on Dec.12th.The locomotive will pull the EASTBOUND leg of the Polar Express trips through Dec.16th.
The weather here has been very warm and there is no real snow to mention, but perhaps by the time the steamer comes out,old man winter will co-operate.
This will be the last time #7470 operates untill summer next year.
This is a great chance to experience the fantasic sounds of a steam locomotive whistling into the winter evening darkness.
Personally,I hope it stays real warm untill the steamer comes out. Then I hope it gets real cold and snows like hell. And then afterward,I hope it warms up again!

Unfortunately, I'll be unable to attend. I hope you steam videographers out there will document this event, and get it available to us ASAP!
