Just for reference:

The one from "Varysburg" appears to be the Water Tower in Arcade, what was known as the "Sand house" which was demolished a couple years ago.

The one listed as being in Attica is definitely actually the Arcade Enginehouse... the north end of the A&A's line was ripped up in 1957 after a flood demolished much of the northern end of the roadbed.

The View of #6 at Attica in 1940 - is actually at Attica. It is pictured headed "east" along side the Erie Main at Attica. It is on the 1940 Iron Horse Rambler excursion getting ready to head south back to Arcade. The wye would be ahead of the engine to get back on the A&A tracks. The Erie Station and Exchange Street would be to the right behind the engine in this picture. I have several other views of the train sitting at this same location.

#6 was cut up at Arcade around 1947. #7 and #8 (both ex BR&P) were off of the A&A property by 1943. I've seen it mentioned that both were sold to the US Government for Model City Arsenal. #7 was reported as having gone to Alaska before scrap. There was also mention of Summer & Company as the scrapper for #8 and Railway Accessories Company as the broker for #7. This latter information was from brief notes in the minute books of the corporation.

If anyone could shed light on the final disposition of the two and perhaps confirm the Model City destination?

I'm sorry I wasn't clear.

I wasn't making any statement about the photo of #6 at Attica.

I was referencing the picture of 2-8-0 #18 being listed at Attica. Since 18 wasn't purchased until 1962, and the North Java-Attica segment was abandoned after the flood in '57, there is no way 18 could have ever been to Attica... ironically.
