Post subject:  Passenger Cars to Aiken, SC

Hi All,

Former Frisco 1506 and ICRR 2904 were in th news this week after they arrived in Aiken, SC. These cars were once owned by my late father, Bill Hale (IC 2904 being sold to a private individual after storage issues with a shortline). They have found a new home and a new life with the City of
Aiken, SC.

The article mentions Frisco 1506 being steel over wood, but this is not correct. 1506 was not Pullman built, but AC&F built and of 1912 vintage having been rebuilt into a cafe-lounge from a coach by the Frisco.

I'm very happy that Frisco 1506 has a new home and is to be restored. I wish 1506 could have gone back to Frisco country, but that didn't happen.

Now, if only I could find a home for a 20 ton Davenport locomotive.......
