Anyone know when it last operated?

Bob,

Is #5 the one still on display at Groverton with the ex LNE wood caboose?

I have been reading on the New England forums that a revitalization is under way with new traffic expected on the old BM/MEC route to Groveton. The best way to stop railroads from becoming snowmobile trails is revenue traffic.

Our museum near Rochester NY has a 45 ton GE, Serial No 13057. According to GE records, it went to Groveton Paper in May of 1956. As a guess, it might have bumped the saddletank engine out of service.
