Historians might note the image taken at Jamaica Station, on the LIRR. It was LIRR practice to paint the smokebox door and headlight in black, then graphite the smokebox and do the rest of the loco in black. I don't believe the LIRR ever used Pennsy standard DGLE. Note also, the sheathed pilot, another LIRR trait.

I love the Northumberland shots. I'd like to see some contemporary shots of the other Northumberland locomotives. The G5s, H6sb, H3 E7s, and D16sb, seem to have faired the best as far as restoration is concerned. I'd like to see the locomotives stored outdoor at PMPA put back inside after reassembly.

Of the saved collection, I'll go out on a limb and say, I'm sure the E6s is probably the locomotive most people would love to see fired once again.
