Post subject:  Proctor enginehouse

With Clarendon & Pittsford 0-6-0 8 in front. The 0-6-0 was scrapped after the C&P bought two Whitcomb diesels in the late-1940s, but the marble block enginehouse still existed last I knew, minus trackage, at Proctor, Vermont. C&P was an inter-plant common carrier, owned by Vermont Marble Company. Vermont Railway bought it in the 1970s and eventually tore up most of the original tracks, which were used briefly by the Otter Valley tourist RR. Vermont Rail Systems still uses the C&P name for its former D&H trackage between Rutland, Vermont and Whitehall, New York.
