Hello Folks,

If anyone is interested, I have updated my site with, among other things the current status of 6167's restoration.

Also I have been looking into having replica number plates made up as a fundraiser for the project and I would like to know if anyone would be interested in purchasing one. Contact me through my website and let me know if you would like to purchase one.

If I find that there is enough interest, I will pursue the issue further.

Cheers,

Joe

A brief look at Joe's website shows he is making good effort at starting to reverse many years of neglect on this locomotive. These things don't happen overnight and sometimes just getting permission to begin work is a major hangup. Just getting it stabilized and under cover will be a major accomplishment.

I don't know if the 6167 ever made it down to St. Albans (as 6218 did), but it could well have been spun on the turntable I used to run there in the post-steam era. After retirement, I wouldn't mind spending a few days helping out up in Guelph if I'm up for the drive.
