I was impressed by the condition of this equipment, apparently on display since the 1930s, also the informative signage. Has someone done restoration work on this train in recent years? Did it receive grant or other funding? http://abpr2.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi? ... AVE.KY.jpg http://abpr2.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi? ... E.KY_1.jpg http://abpr2.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi? ... An earlier post mentioned that the loco had either been turned or put on the other end of the train during a restoration. It implied that the original exhibit was of the train as it had stopped after its last trip, with the loco running tender first. |

Not sure about the turning, but I think some Wilbur Golson photos from the 1960s showed it displayed as it is today. |
